Eddie Bellande landed at least five times at the Grand Central Air Terminal. Each time he flew the large transport aircraft of his employer, TWA, for whom he flew from 1927 to 1942.

Significantly, two of his visits were with the Fokker F-32 aircraft identified as NC333N and NC334N. His first landing at Glendale on December 23, 1930 was in NC333N; his last landing on May 7, 1931 was with NC334N. These two aircraft were the transport giants of their day, and were the first ones purchased for TWA's west coast routes. His three other landings were in Fords, NC8413, NC9644 and NC9651. All his flights departed for San Francisco.

Eddie Bellande was born in Mississippi on December 19, 1897. He died in Los Angeles on November 16, 1976. His career in aviation spanned nearly 60 years. His activities on behalf of aviation during those 60 years included test pilot, transport pilot and aviation entrepreneur.

Bellande was married March 30, 1927 to actress Molly Lamont. Their wedding was celebrated in the T.W.A. internal magazine, Skyliner, in 1937, below.

Besides his landings at Glendale, Bellande landed once at the Davis-Monthan Airfield and signed the Register there on Tuesday, November 6, 1928. He flew a Ford NC1102.
