NEWS, UPDATES & CHANGES TO THE DATABASE & WEB SITE (scroll up and down to see additional updates and changes):

04/10/18 I spent the last five weeks heads-down entering new data into the database that drives the Grand Central Air Terminal (GCAT) Web site. As of today you can view 266 pages of the GCAT Register. In the present effort, I entered 121 new pages and 3,756 new records. Today you can view 8,052 total records of individual landings by pilots and aircraft at Glendale, CA between December 14, 1930 and January 19, 1932. Many thousands still to go. Unique to this bout of data entry is that I have entered into the photographs I made in 2009 of the original Register pages archived at the Glendale Public Library. Beginning on Register page 222, you will see the striking difference between photocopied pages and the original color pages of this robust record of Golden Age aviation.

06/01/17 As of June 1, 2017, all the Web sites of the Delta Mike Airfield, Inc. project are protected by Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure certificates (HTTPS://). This means all communications between your browser and these Web sites are encrypted.

What this means to you is that you can feel confident, in compliance with the "VERIFIED & SECURED" icon and link at top left of the home page, that your email to me via the CONTACT US or CONTACT WEBMASTER buttons throughout the Web sites is protected against prying eyes. Likewise, any information regarding your donations to Delta Mike Airfield, Inc. is secure, not only through the PayPal link (right sidebar), but now through these Web sites. 10/01/15 The Web site database now contains 2,937 records covering 102 pages of the Register. Each record represents one landing at the Grand Central Air Terminal. About 1,500 pages remain to be transcribed.
